Tulum’s Art with Me Festival Successfully Merges Art, Music, Sustainability, Food, Wellness & More for A Third Year in A Row
Coming soon, on APRIL 22–26, 2020 International artists, musicians and environmental leaders will gather for five days for art, intriguing workshops, holistic wellness, culinary experiences and music. This thought provoking festival, especially focused on how to preserve Tulum Mexico, is definitely worth repeating. The event is called Art With Me by *GNP Seguros and is in it’s 3rd year of production.
Art With Me *GNP was put on with the help of multiple sponsors in order to highlight environmental challenges in the region, while offering solutions to promote a sustainable future for Tulum locally and globally.
It’s not a secret that Tulum and the Yucatan Peninsula host the biggest underground river network in the world with over fifteen hundred kilometers of waterways running underneath. These amazing waterways and current world wonder are threatened by urban expansion, lack of wastewater treatment, and insufficient solid waste management.
“Care With Me” is the groups collective which calls for action and includes all waste management proposals; with the objective of minimizing production and maximizing value. All of this through social and technical diagnoses, along with educational programs, communications and the installation of a collection and treatment center are called for, with the purpose of building infrastructure for organic waste, along with implementation of new technologies.
Art With Me *GNP for 2019 featured extensive and unique art along with an opening ceremony featuring the legendary Bronco Group who are well known in the region. The opener for the event included a Mayan blessing from respected Grandfather Egilio Dzib Canul who attended from Cobá to ask permission to the Four Directions to carry out the festival while fulfilling its mission to continue being a social and environmental exchange platform.

General admission and Premium tickets were sold, with funds going to the cause; while Tulum residents received a $200.00 discount to the event with proof of residency. Art With Me * GNP also encouraged attendees to reduce the use of single-use plastics and especially to recycle them. The group and the event brought a much needed awareness by making a way for exchanging PET, Tetra Pack and aluminum packaging for tickets to various concerts.
The 2019 event was a success and the energy behind the event during the days of the festival have had a lasting effect on those in attendance. The world is watching and Tulum is committed to showing up and making a difference for 2020 and the years to come.
